👄How To Gain Confidence And Courage To Thrive In Your Purpose

Here’s what I’ve discovered…most of us believe confidence to be some kind of forbidden fruit designed for and only given to a special few. It’s often viewed as this wow factor of amazingness that other women (definitely not us) possess and like it or not, we feel a bit of envy inside that we hope no one actually sees.

All of the above is complete B.S. by the way! And I’m about to prove it to you!

First, what is ‘confidence’? Like with everything else, I Googled it and she said it means a feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities.

It’s 2009…

I’m standing in the living room of the home I own with my (then) husband. My mouth is dry, my palms are sweaty…wait, who I am kidding…every square inch of my person is sweaty, and I’m faltering back and forth between terror and near passing out. My easel is erected with poster boards displaying a concept I believed in. My brothers, mom, both my sons, along with a few other family members and friends, all sitting in silence as I’m attempting to compose myself. I’m opening my mouth to speak, say something, anything. Finally, finding my voice, my little 30 minute presentation is complete in 5 minutes.

My fear of ‘public speaking’ nearly killed me that day…DEATH BY ANXIETY!

No, I’m kidding, but it sure felt like it. Little did I know, my middle son, Chaysen, and my mom were silently making bets on how long it was going to take for me to pass out! How rude, right? LOL!

Well, guess what ya girl does now!

Yep, you guessed it…I’m a PROFESSIONAL SPEAKER!

Guess what it takes to become a PROFESSIONAL SPEAKER…

CONFIDENCE!!!

And where do you think I got that CONFIDENCE?

OWN ABILITIES!

Listen, I was scared back in 2009…and quite frankly, scared all the way up to 2019…ten years later, until…

I gained the ABILITIES to be a Professional Speaker!

So, I teach Confidence on Que and yes mam, it’s a real thing. You can find Confidence whenever you need it for those situations where you are scared to go on the date, network at the event, or try something new.

But the next level confidence I’m talking about is the Confidence in one’s own abilities to start a company, write a book, speak publicly, enter a fitness competition or anything where you need some ‘abilities’.

Simply put, Sis, Confidence automatically comes with just doing it; getting the training, practicing, trying, failing, trying again, and failing a whole bunch more. 

There’s one thing that I’m absolutely sure of…this beautiful life we have been given does NOT last forever. If you are never uncomfortable, you are not living up to your full potential.

Is it scary?

HELL YES!

Is it uncomfortable?

DOUBLE HELL YES!

Is it worth it?

Sis, I can’t even put into words how WORTH IT all of it actually is!
